This is SB, my wife. She's had a handful of different sorts of jobs in her lifetime. But according to her, one of her most favorite jobs is working for me. SB had been teaching high school for five years when I met her. But teaching and rapping are very different lifestyles! Our schedules were completely opposite and SB always worked a second job in the summer. It seemed we never saw each other. At first, it worked. She was so busy with school, but also had the same schedule that my daughters had at the time, so there were a lot of ways it really worked! But I was coming home to start my weekend on Sunday nights when SB was just getting ready to start her long work week. In 2019, we knew we needed to make a change.
Over the years our friendship blossomed into a romantic relationship. In the beginning, she quickly learned the ropes of the music world and helped me out with some tough business moves. Together we were able to overcome some really incredible financial feats. Finally we decided it was time to join forces professionally. After nearly a decade of teaching, SB quit her job to come work as Brand & Merchandising Manager for Big Smo Inc. One of her biggest projects at the start of her Big Smo career was editing my autobiography My Life in Jar: The Book of SMO. On the road, you could find SB dancing at the merch table and hanging out with all the Kinfoke at the show. She loves traveling and we loved getting to be on the road together full time- it really changed our relationship for the better. By the time 2020 rolled around, we were handling all scheduling and booking, but all of that changed when we were forced to cancel touring. We spent the year gardening and working around the house and now we enjoy working together from home. After all, home is where the heart is. -SMO
