From the Farm to Faith: Finding My Way Back Home

I grew up at the little Baptist church down the road from our family farm. That’s where I was baptized and first met Jesus — not just in name, but in relationship. As a boy, I loved Him. I knew peace, purpose, and the kind of joy you can’t fake.

But somewhere along the way, like a lot of folks, I put Jesus in the backseat. I started chasing what the world told me was worth it: money, power, and pleasure.

Success came loud — tour buses, bright lights, and bigger, louder crowds. But no matter how high I climbed, the silence inside me kept getting louder. Depression, shame, and loneliness crept in until I hardly recognized myself. I was living for the moment… but losing myself more each day.

This year, something changed.

SB and I attended the first-ever Bless God Summit in California, hosted by Ruslan KD, where Christian influencers and creators challenged us to use our platforms for the Great Commission. It wasn’t just another conference. It was a wake-up call.

Something cracked open in me during those sessions. My heart broke in the best way. I let Jesus back in — not halfway, not just on Sundays — but fully.

That doesn’t mean life has gotten easier. In fact, being open about this new walk has come with battles. But I’m not fighting alone anymore. And it’s better. Way better. I feel a peace I haven’t known in years — and a purpose I’d almost forgotten.

To everyone who’s messaged, prayed, or encouraged me: thank you. Seriously. You’ve helped me feel less alone on this path.

And now I’m praying I can lead people toward the light just as easily as I once led ‘em into the dark.

This is the new me. A new sound. A new chapter. And I’m just getting started.
