What’s up, Kinfoke?!

I’m proud to finally share something that’s been sittin’ in the vault for a long time.

Tomorrow we’re droppin’ a record called “Louder Than Music” with my brother Tristan Jackson, and this one’s got a story behind it.

Me and Tristan go way back. Almost ten years ago, we sat down for breakfast talkin’ about him maybe steppin’ into one of my music videos. He was workin’ on some acting projects at the time, and from that first meetin’ I could tell he was the real deal—solid heart, good energy, creative soul. We stayed in touch ever since, and it’s wild how life came back around to make this song part of our story.

We actually cut “Louder Than Music” between 2016 and 2017, back when I was workin’ with the late Nolan Neal.

If you know Nolan, you know the gift he carried- an unreal voice, pure emotion, and a spirit that filled up every room. He left this world too soon, but I’m thankful I got to make music with him while he was here. His fingerprints are all over this track, and I’m honored to help carry that part of his legacy forward.

Now, I know some folks might see the date and think, “Man, this one’s been sittin’ a while.”

And that’s true- it has. But some songs are like seeds. They’ve gotta rest in the soil a little while before they’re ready to bloom. Louder Than Music was one of those. The message didn’t fade- it grew roots.

It’s funny how God works-what we made years ago turned out to be right on time now.

This song is about that feeling when words just ain’t enough… when the music says what your soul’s been tryin’ to scream.

That’s what it was for us then, and that’s what it still is today.

I hope when you hear it, you feel that same heartbeat -the one that connects us beyond time, loss, and all the noise.

Because sometimes the truth really is louder than music.
